Jennifer Jean Jellybean started as a childhood nickname that made a comeback in 2008 when Facebook became popular, Jennifer Coletti started working as a teacher in town, and privacy became her mission. Like other teachers in the profession, she changed her profile name to something strange in an attempt to keep parents and students from finding her social media pages.
Fast forward to 2011 and none of that mattered anymore because starting a business means putting yourself out there and making as many networking connections as possible.
The Refrigerator Door(now Jellybean Art Studios) was a project inspired by her own children and the need for an art studio in her hometown that was inviting for all ages. TRD offered classes for families, children, and adults where lessons focused on the elements of art while incorporating art history and stressing the importance of peers and process. Fellowship through the art process is invaluable when building up a community of artists, and this sentiment was carried into the performing group.
Sing. Dance. Perform. was a non-audition singing and dancing group that practiced in the TRD studio, but performed throughout the southern New Hampshire community. Jennifer Jean Jellybean also offered music classes for families and traveled to surrounding schools and community centers to serve as their music and art teachers. Jellybean has worked with all ages--infant through retiree--but more importantly, she's built relationships and brought art to a diverse group of people.
Jellybean makes it her mission to inspire confident creativity through the arts. Her enthusiasm for visual arts, music, and theater, along with the ability to maintain an inclusive, positive environment is what made her programs a success. Jellybean also has an affinity for testing her mental strength while reaching physical goals of packing on miles. Competing in races as long as 100 miles was not on her radar until 2013. Runstreaking became a new way to combat physical and mental ailments that progressed due to autoimmune issues in 2016. With a BA in studio arts from the University of New Hampshire, Jellybean continues to share her love for art, music, and running with all who want to listen (but mostly just MONTROLLER).
Annabelle and Christopher are her most favorite people. Ever. Everything she does is for them--a happy, healthy mom is her first priority.
